first things first: thank you so much for creating (or considering creating) for me. i hope you have fun!

i’ve included some thoughts and prompts for canons, characters, ships, and tropes—but please don’t feel bound to those ideas. they are included only as possible starting points and entirely optional. also, please don’t think that any pairing/character having more bullet points means i want it more than others—i want everything i requested! in general, i will enjoy any gift (so long as it doesn’t include things on my Do Not Want list).

seifer almasy/squall leonhart

this is a very nostalgic fandom for me, because it was one of my very first fandoms. seifer and squall's relationship immediately grabbed me from that iconic opening sequence. what's more romantic than branding your rival with a mirrored scar on their face?

seifer has always been my favorite character. he's brash and arrogant, but i also find him to be sympathetic despite all the things he did (we can't forget the betrayal, the torture, etc). all the characters were so young in the story, and he was manipulated by someone important to him who used his dream against him, distorting it until it was something terrible.

but i also love how where seifer runs hot, squall makes a very concerted effort to be cold. they are as similar as they are opposite, which is why i think they're really the only two who understand each other so well in the game and why they are so emotionally connected. i love how they are mirrored—attracted to similar things/ideologies but in different ways. i think it's very easy to see how their paths might have been swapped had things been just a little different for either of them.

as a pairing, i don't think they've ever had the opportunity to develop something healthy before or during the game events. for fanworks in that period, i would love to see anything that explores their friendship/rivalry. this can be one-sided or mutual. as for post-game, i think it offers so many opportunities. they've both been through so much, i want to see how they learn and grow. do they drift further apart? or does time make it easier to put old grievances aside and reconcile?

seifer almasy/zell dincht

this is a very nostalgic fandom for me, because it was one of my very first fandoms. although i was first attracted to seifer and squall's relationship, the relationship between zell/seifer grew on me over time. i actually remember the exact moment i really got into it. i stumbled across a CRUSHERs doujinshi and that was the end for me. i loved how they depicted a softer side of seifer and zell while retaining the bickering and capacity for misunderstandings between them.

seifer has always been my favorite character. he's brash and arrogant, but i also find him to be sympathetic despite all the things he did (we can't forget the betrayal, the torture, etc). all the characters were so young in the story, and he was manipulated by someone important to him who used his dream against him, distorting it until it was something terrible.

but zell has a lot of the same characteristics. he's brash too—but without seifer's arrogance. where seifer would like to make himself an authority, zell tries to connect (if awkwardly) with others. where i think seifer wants to be respected and admired, zell wants to be accepted and loved.

as a pairing, i would love to see them grapple with the evolution of their relationship. in the orphanage and garden years, seifer was zell's bully. but in the game events, seifer falls out of favor as zell comes into his own. i'd love to see zell more confident in himself and more capable of handling seifer (though still weak to bickering with him). as for seifer, i'd like to see him working through some lessons and growth as needed—and learning how to, at least on occasion, be some version of kind and considerate.

gungrave

brandon heat/bunji kugashira

this is probably my smallest fandom, so if you're gungrave-curious or are trying to refresh on the basics, i have a "why you should watch gungrave" post and a short primer that i use for exchanges/requests.

i love both of these characters so much. i love how quiet brandon is but how deeply he feels emotions. he experiences so much turmoil over his conflicting loyalties to big daddy/millennion and harry. the amount he struggled with harry's betrayal only comes out after brandon's death. i think brandon's loyalty is reflected in (and perhaps even the origin of) bunji's loyalty. bunji, who begins as a mercenary, joins millennion solely because of how impressed he is by harry and brandon. he keeps to brandon's morals and ideology for so long—and then he shatters when brandon seemingly defects (e.g. how his unit would wait to kill a target until their family was gone because that's what brandon wanted vs. bunji choosing to massacre the whole family with the target after brandon's apparent betrayal).

this is purely my personal interpretation but... i like to believe that bunji knew on some level that brandon would never betray millennion, but he made himself believe harry's story because brandon was already dead and it felt like he only had harry and millenion left. so bunji doubled down on telling himself that brandon was a traitor only to end up in a cycle of hatred aimed at brandon as well as himself.

as a pairing, i feel like it is easy to interpret bunji's clear respect for brandon as having a sexual and/or romantic component. i can see them in anything from a fully requited relationship to something that is more one-sided. if you want to go with one-sided/unrequited, i love the concept of brandon being very wrapped up in maria and/or harry but still having sex or a relationship with bunji anyway.

brandon heat/harry macdowell

this is probably my smallest fandom, so if you're gungrave-curious or are trying to refresh on the basics, i have a "why you should watch gungrave" post and a short primer that i use for exchanges/requests.

harry is such a fun character. he's a guy i love to hate. his unbridled arrogance and ambition are delicious, especially as it slowly ruins everyone he cares about around him (before, eventually, it ruins him, too). he sees everyone around him as a tool, no matter how much he cares about them. by contrast, brandon is a creature of loyalty. where harry devotes himself to conquering millennion, brandon devotes himself to protecting millennion as it is. but he's also fiercely loyal to harry, his oldest friend.

as a pairing, i am interesting in all sections of their lives together. i could easily see them as having a romantic/sexual relationship in their younger years. or perhaps a more fraught relationship as they begin to grow apart in millennion. i think it could be easy to interpret harry as taking brandon for granted or purposefully giving less of himself to brandon as he realizes that they have different goals.

prompts:

• around the time of brandon's death, harry reminisces on more simple times with brandon. maybe this is why he orchestrates their last date to revisit the places of their youth.


• any time loop from harry’s point of view. what would be do differently? what is he too stubborn to change?


• instead of growing up together, harry and brandon meet in millenion.


• brandon tends to protect people with his body (e.g. standing in front of big daddy/harry to take shots meant for them) or with his gun. harry, however, works more in his head (e.g. getting ahead of bunji via mind games/tactics while exposing himself to physical threat). show me a time they each protected each other in their own way.

hellsing

alexander anderson/alucard

in many ways, anderson is a great foil to alucard. despite similarities (both are the premier powers of their respective organization, both are primarily used as vampire hunters, both work for religious organizations, etc), they are completely incompatible. but i love how they forge a strange respect for each other. alucard clearly thinks highly of anderson (calling him a beloved nemesis, likening him to the few men he thought might kill him, and trying to talk him out of the needle). i think alucard provides a much-needed challenge to anderson (in battle as well as to his ideologies).

as a pairing, i would love anything that leans into their differences as well as their similarities. i want anderson to have to acknowledge that alucard is everything he detests (an inhuman monster without a conscience and working for the protestants to boot) and that he still wants/respects him. as for alucard, he's a creature with ages of experience, so i think at first he doesn't see anderson as more than a blip in history, but i would love to know more about how and when he starts to develop respect for him. i want to see him put anderson under a metaphorical microscope because he's fascinated by what responses he can elicit. he finds anderson entertaining, a quality hard to come by for someone who has seen nearly everything.

prompts:

• anderson masturbating in his tiny dorm bed. maybe he’s thinking about alucard. maybe he’s trying not to think of anything. feel free to lean into the catholic guilt/shame (perhaps in regard to internalized homophobia or fantasizing about a vampire).


• blasphemous sex: sex in a church or confession booth, invoking religious symbolism, alucard denigrating anderson's particular flavor of faith during sex, etc.


• any setup in which anderson offers alucard his blood. anderson feels many conflicted catholic feelings about it.


• any setup in which alucard takes anderson's blood without it being offered.


• alucard is captured by iscariot. anderson, much to his own surprise, does not agree with iscariot's methods.


• something goes haywire with anderson's regeneration abilities (i.e. they spontaneously stop working, iscariot sabotages him to 'retire' him, etc), and the only place he can think of to go is hellsing/alucard.


• instead of letting anderson use the nail, alucard turns him into a vampire.

mozart, l'opéra rock

antonio salieri/wolfgang amadeus mozart

this show is so manic and delightful. i adore both salieri and mozart. salieri for his seething, poisonous jealousy; mozart for his irreverence. there are so many great songs but for the characters, the standouts are "le bien qui fait mal" and "l'assasymphonie" for salieri and "le trublion" for mozart. and i nearly added "victime de ma victoire," but i would list all the songs if i left myself.

i love salieri in particular because of his internal conflict. he is so calculated and ruthless in cutting mozart down and raising himself up. he wins a battle mozart never fully realizes they were having—and he hates himself for it because it means nothing when he knows he cannot measure up to mozart's talent.

for the pairing, i would love to see missing scenes, fix-its, and canon divergence.

prompts:

• what if mozart and salieri had to work on a collaboration together?


• mozart haunts salieri after his death—is it real or a manifestation of guilt in salieri's head?


• what would it take for salieri to express his admiration and/or desires to mozart?


• mozart and salieri have to travel together.


• to everyone's surprise, mozart doesn’t die at the end. salieri, not one for apologies, does his best to make amends.


• salieri seems to believe he wants to humble mozart, but it does not make him happy once he's accomplished it. maybe what he needs instead is for mozart to humble him instead.


• a creepy take on the requiem mass. mozart believes it is a premonition and tells salieri. perhaps salieri has to atone through supernatural means to save mozart's life.


• mozart doesn't realize salieri is a virgin until he's in the middle of seducing him.

nu:carnival

kuya/rei

this pairing really came onto my radar with the rusted nation update. i love that both rei and kuya are from huey's OG crew, but that has done nothing to make them closer. at a glance, one might expect them to get along better. they both are more interested in their own pursuits than the goals of the grand sorcerer (especially in comparison with most of the clan). and they both guard their hearts so carefully. but perhaps all of that makes their bickering all the more delicious.

as a pairing, i would love either explorations of their past with huey or their present with eiden. i am intrigued by the fact that rei was so unhappy with his place in huey's clan, while kuya seems to have genuinely bought into huey's authority. i would love to see how they contrast against each other—and in what ways they might be more alike than they want to admit.

kuya/huey

huey is still such an enigma in the game. we only have hints about what his relationship with his clan looked like (and how different it is from eiden's soft and sexy approach). at several points, kuya seems to imply he respect huey because of his strength and power. also, we saw in rusted nation that kuya himself is quite capable of casual cruelty and harm. i am so curious how kuya went from serving the yokai to someone who seems devoted to huey. and i'm curious how huey convinced him to do so. i also wonder what their daily life looked like. how often was huey actually around? was the relationship one of business or was there mutual fondness on both sides?

as a pairing, i like to see both how huey and kuya can work together but also how they might highlight each other's character flaws. they are both powerful men—and neither seems particularly predisposed to compassion. i could easily see kuya fascinated by huey, because huey is a font of new experiences (and kuya is, of course, a curious creature even when he doesn't want to admit it).

sk8 the infinity

adam/cherry

cherry and adam are my favorite characters in the show. i would love to see anything that explores their relationship. i don't see them as a happily-ever-after relationship necessarily. i love that cherry idolized adam in high school and that has only ever come back to bite him (first in adam leaving them, then adam's consistent dismissals, and finally the full swing kiss). i love that adam has this amazing ability that comes from obsessive practice (and, well, coping) and cherry has turned to technology to try to bridge the gap—and he still doesn't quite make it.

i would love any exploration of their dynamic from their high school days (was there ever a true equilibrium? or did it at least seem like equilibrium? or was it always a little uneven between them and got worse with time?). or i would love to see how their shared past affects them in the present day. or i would also love post-canon works where adam is at least trying to be a little more human.

as a note, please don't feel like you have to shy away from adam's flaws. those are the reasons i love him.

adam/joe

although cherry clearly has a grudge with adam, it was joe's anger at adam that struck me. whenever he speaks about adam, he is so much colder than usual. i think a lot of that anger might be on cherry's (and others') behalf, but i want to know how much joe feels it for himself, too.

joe doesn't really give much insight to how he felt during the high school days with adam. cherry shares his sense of wonder and the audience gets to see scenes from them skating together. but what did joe feel? was he as starry-eyed as cherry? was he also jealous or as desperate to match adam's skill? and how does that translate into his relationship with adam today. he warns everyone away from adam, but he still pursues a beef. what does he want to prove?

as a note, please don't feel like you have to shy away from adam's flaws. those are the reasons i love him.

these three together tickles me. the sequences in the anime that spoke about how happy joe and cherry were to skate with adam. i love that they had this period of exploration and adventure together before it fractured. maybe it was more beautiful because it was doomed to end. but even if those days end, they all still end up at s again as adults. the opportunities to mine the feelings left over are endless.

i would love to see works from any time period. feel free to explore the scars left by the past and how they might be healed in the future. or give me a missing scene from their youth. i just want to see more of these three interacting.

as a note, please don't feel like you have to shy away from adam's flaws. those are the reasons i love him.

knives/wolfwood/vash

my first ship in trigun was vash and wolfwood, but once stampede came out, i fell in love with knives, too. stampede did such a wonderful job of building vash and knives' relationship into something that felt real (and obsessive on knives' side).

i want any variation of work that explores the three sides of the triangle. there's no need to make the triangle even. for example, a work might focus on knives' obsession for vash but only have knives put up with wolfwood's presence (or grow to like it) for vash's sake. or maybe vash sleeps with both wolfwood and vash but never together. go with wherever your heart takes you. i think there's a lot of potential to explore the characters and relationships and i'm open to pretty much anything!

wolfwood/vash

i've been into this ship since the original anime came out. i love both characters separately (vash with his self-destructive drive towards idealism; wolfwood with his very human guilt, determination, and despair). they both try so hard to put a specific face on for others and yet both sees the other clearly.

they have so many notable moments that it's impossible to choose from them, so here is one fave from each canon: in trigum maximum, i love when vash is depressed as hell and wolfwood seems so uncertain how to deal with it (i.e. the rubber band scene); in badlands rumble, i love that wolfwood grieves so hard for vash's apparent death (the glasses, the fridge, the mission against gasback after); in '98, the whole episode where they sign each other up for the dueling competition; in stampede, the conversation after wolfwood kills rollo and calls vash a hypocrite.

i want endless things for vash and wolfwood: i want them to bicker. i want them to grieve for each other. i want them to fight side by side. i want them to find a happy ending none of the canons ever allowed. i want filthy smut.
